Music - Praxis New Voices Festival - Krar Collective

Saturday 30th June 2012

Every summer, for one day only, the Museum Gardens in Bethnal Green are transformed into a riot of music, colour and creativity when it hosts the Praxis New Voices Festival. This year the festival is on Saturday 30th June and runs from 12–7pm.

Praxis Community Projects created the festival 5 years ago to promote the fantastic work they do providing support, guidance and training for vulnerable migrants across London, empowering them to sweep away the barriers in their path and enabling them to play a full part in London’s social, economic and cultural life.

Set in the heart of the East End of London the festival is an exuberant celebration of its many diverse cultures and communities with music and dance from around the globe, children's activities in the gardens and the Museum of Childhood, food and craft stalls, and much more.

This year the Ethiopian band Krar Collective will be playing from about 3.00pm for around 40 minutes or so.
