Music - Africa Utopia at the Southbank - Word Sound Power

As part of the Southbank's Africa Utopia Festival and the London Literature Festival 2012 Word Sound Power will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall from 8.00pm to 10pm on 3 July 2012.

Word Sound Power features writers as you've never seen them before, reading to the world class music of Senegal's prince of sound Baaba Maal. Joining Baaba on stage are poets and artists Lemn Sissay (UK/Ethiopia), Pauline Black, TJ Dema, Pedro Perez, Agnes Agboton, Bewketu Seyoum (Ethiopia) and rising star Inua Ellams. Join us for this spiritual, lyrical musical utopia.
