Annemijn Sondaal and Matteo Bottecchia with Dr. Fawzia Gibson-Fall

Tuesday 5th February 2019

18:30 - 20:00 in the Function Room, Henriette Raphael Building, Guy's Campus, King's College, London SE1 1UL.

Free event organised by the King's College London Italian Society.

An evening event to introduce the public to the work of Doctors with Africa CUAMM in Ethiopia and to the importance of creating strategic partnership and seeking integration within the local system in a complex and changing environment to achieve better results in guaranteeing the right to health for all, especially the most vulnerable populations.

Doctors with Africa CUAMM has been working in Ethiopia since 1980 and it had to adapt its interventions according to the many events occurring in 40 years of Ethiopian history. CUAMM's approach is based on health system strengthening. Key elements of this approach are:
a) Strong partnership with the local Ministry of Health
b) Adopt the three levels of care model: deliver the interventions at community level, health facility level and hospital level, while strengthening the referral system
c) Train local health staff to guarantee future sustainability

Tickets for the event are free and can be booked through Eventbrite:
