A Daytime exhibition runs from 13:00 - 18:00 and guests are welcome to drop in any time. A Piece Of Me is a short film series and will be running on a loop throughout the exhibit at the Protein Studios, 31 New Inn Yard, Studios 3+4, London, EC2A 3EY.
A special evening reception starts at 18:30.
Somewherelse presents a special one-day immersive exhibition to launch international filmmaker Sara Elgamal's latest documentary film A Piece Of Me.
Shot in the breathtaking desert of the Afar region in Ethiopia, A Piece Of Me is a visually stunning campaign that celebrates the strength and stories of women who refuse to be defined by their past trauma.
Produced in collaboration with UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, A Piece Of Me tells the story of Zahra, Abida and Khadija, three survivors of female genital mutilation (FGM), with the aim of raising global awareness of the urgent need to take action to help end FGM.
This special one-day exhibit produced by Somewherelse will bring to life A Piece Of Me via multimedia, site-specific installations to inspire and educate.
