Wax and Gold Writing Workshop - at The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge

The Ethiopian language has a system of double meanings called ’Wax and Gold’, which permeates Ethiopian culture at all levels. Wax is a metaphor for the outer and open meaning of a poem or song and gold is the inner hidden meaning.

The Workshop is in the Education Studio at The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge
