Discovery Day - Ethiopian & Eritrean Discovery Day at the Bodleian

The Bodleian has a collection of over 100 manuscripts of Ethiopia and Eritrea. Many of these are beautifully illustrated and written in Ge'ez, the liturgical language of the Ethiopian and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Churches.

Drop in to see the temporary display of manuscripts and icons, enjoy family-friendly activities and discover the ancient language of Ge'ez.

Admission free. No need to book.
